About Tommy

Tommy’s journey to Oak Island began after law school when he moved to Wilmington, drawn by the coastal lifestyle. In 2020, Tommy and his partner Nick were visiting a family friend who had recently purchased a home on the island. While out walking their dog, they stumbled upon a house that immediately caught their eye. That walk turned into a tour, and soon after, it became the place they now call home.

Over the past five years, Tommy and Nick have become deeply rooted in the Oak Island community. From starting a local book club to sharing drinks with neighbors at their favorite bar, attending music in the park, and cheering for the Loggerheads on game day, they’ve built lasting relationships and a true sense of belonging. Wanting to better understand how Oak Island’s government works, Tommy completed the Town’s Citizens Academy and has attended Council meetings consistently for the past year and a half. These experiences have given him a strong grasp of the Town’s priorities and challenges. Oak Island isn’t just where Tommy and Nick live – it’s where they’ve chosen to plant roots, create memories, and build a forever home. With many years still ahead as a resident of Oak Island, he is invested in making sure the choices made today will keep the Town strong for generations to come.
